From 75 interviewing stations each day, PDS handles surveys of the general public and special groups (such as lawyers, CEOs or journalists) as well as business-to-business surveys.
Quality starts with skilled interviewers, trained to follow the research protocols in each interview. PDS puts a premium on training, going far beyond the industry norms to assure that every interviewer gathers accurate information each and every time.
The interviewing staff is trained to excel with the SPSS-MR Quancept CATI software. For both outbound calls and incoming calls, the interviewers conduct quality interviews, schedule appointments, record open-ended responses and tally the result of each and every call accurately.
Dedicated supervisors monitor and motivate the interviewers each step of the way. From monitoring and recording the interviews to one-on-mentoring each night, PDS supervisors control the data collection effort for each project. At least 10 percent of all interviewers are monitored or recorded each and every shift.
Each project at PDS can be completed using a variety of dialing methods. For general public surveys using RDD samples, the Quancept dialer provides an efficient means of weeding through the many disconnected and non-working numbers to find the respondents. PDS also conducts many projects from lists of names and telephone numbers, where finding the specific person selected for the sample is paramount.
Top-quality research also requires precision each time the data is processed. PDS uses the SPSS-MR Quancept software to program, execute and monitor all projects. Each questionnaire is programmed into Quancept and then the programming is exhaustively checked for quality.
After the close of interviewing each day, the data from each project is checked for correctness. Daily reports of quality are generated on each project. The next day's workload and staffing are then tailored based on these quality measures.
To meet client needs, data deliveries are made on the client's schedule, not on PDS' schedule.
